Wir haben neue Informationen zu den für uns als Verein relevanten Entwicklungen in der Corona-Krise für euch (English below): Der DBV hat als weitere Reaktion auf die anhaltende Unsicherheit in Bezug auf die Wiederaufnahme des Spielbetriebs im Base- und Softball entschieden, dass der Länderpokal U15 Baseball, den wir am 20. und 21.06.2020 als Gastgeber ausrichten sollten, nicht stattfinden wird. Der DBV behält es sich vor, das Turnier ebenso wie die bereits zuvor abgesagten Länderpokale gegebenenfalls zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt im Jahr nachzuholen. Mögliche Nachholtermine hängen vom Verlauf des Spielbetriebs und der weiteren Gesamtentwicklung ab.
Darüber hinaus hat der Verband informiert, dass nach den von der Bundesregierung am 6. Mai bekannt gegebenen weiteren Lockerungen der Maßnahmen zur Eingrenzung der Coronavirus-Ausbreitung davon auszugehen ist, dass der Trainingsbetrieb in Kürze deutschlandweit wieder möglich sein wird. Der DBV hat hierfür bereits Übergangsregelungen definiert, die von den Vereinen als Mindestvoraussetzung eingehalten werden müssen, damit wieder trainiert werden kann. Wir als Bad Homburg Hornets warten nun darauf, dass die Stadt Bad Homburg die Sportstätten inklusive unseres Ballparks wieder für den Trainingsbetrieb freigibt. Sobald das der Fall ist, werden wir euch noch einmal informieren. Es kann aber nicht schaden, wenn sich alle schon einmal mit den DBV-Übergangsregelungen vertraut machen – denn so sehr wir alle auch darauf brennen, unseren Sport wieder ausüben zu können, wollen wir dennoch gleichzeitig alle gebotenen Maßnahmen berücksichtigen, um die Coronavirus-Pandemie einzudämmen. Zur Vorbereitung auf die Wiedereröffnung des Platzes haben wir bereits jetzt die Erlaubnis erhalten, am Samstag, 9. Mai, Platzarbeiten durchzuführen. Auch wenn das ziemlich kurzfristig ist, hoffen wir, dass sich einige helfende Hände finden, die zwischen 12 und 15 Uhr mithelfen können, denn: das Unkraut wuchert!

We have new information for you about the developments in the Corona crisis that are relevant for us as an association: As a further reaction to the continuing uncertainty regarding the resumption of baseball and softball play, the DBV has decided that the U15 Baseball National Cup, which we were to host on 20 and 21 June 2020, will not take place. The DBV reserves the right to make up for the tournament, as well as the previously cancelled national cups, at a later date in the year if necessary. Possible catch-up dates will depend on the course of play and the further overall development.
In addition, the association has informed that, following the further relaxation of measures to limit the spread of coronavirus announced by the Federal Government on 6 May, it can be assumed that training operations will soon be possible again throughout Germany. The DBV has already defined transitional regulations for this purpose, which must be observed by the clubs as a minimum requirement for training to be possible again. As Bad Homburg Hornets, we are now waiting for the city of Bad Homburg to release the sports facilities, including our ball park, for training operations. As soon as this is the case, we will inform you again. However, it can’t hurt if everyone familiarizes themselves with the DBV transitional regulations – because as much as we are all eager to be able to practice our sport again, we still want to take all necessary measures to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
